Westchester County Police officers responded to a Maple Avenue home at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, where they found Wilmer Castro, 33, at home with a person who has an order of protection against him.
Police proceeded to arrest Castro on a criminal contempt charge for violating the court order. Further investigation determined that he had a warrant out for his arrest for a charge from the Ulster County Family Court.
Following arraignment, he was turned over to deputies from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Department and he is due back in court at a later date to answer the charges.
